SHORING up Ferguson’s doomsday death warnings was fellow Sage and NERVTAG member John Edmunds, Professor of Infectious Disease Modelling and affiliate of the Faculty of Epidemiology and Population Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), another lockdown and vaccination hardliner. He famously accused the government of ‘flip-flopping’ between economic incentives such as Eat Out To Help Out and closures, which he preferred. He has argued, and still insists (at the Hallett Inquiry recently) that the delay to lockdown cost lives. He too, in effect, has violated the Nuremberg Code numerous times by warning in 2020 that Covid-19 restrictions would not be lifted unless enough people were vaccinated.
